1. 8:1 rule.

If you are new on Twitter, try to reply to 8 different people and post at least 1 tweet daily.

Once you begin following this, the algorithm starts to recognize you. It shows your tweets as recommendations.

2. Turn on notifications

Turn on notifications for big or fast-growing accounts. Comment as soon as they tweet. Make sure your comments are meaningful. People will visit your profile if they find your comment interesting.

3. Use multiple mentions

Tweets that mention a lot of people/brands are also popular. It's a win-win, you spread the word about them and they like or RT your content. But, don't spam.

4. Write Better Threads

The 1st, 2nd and final tweets are the most important.
They attract the most likes and comments.

5. Retweet Quotes

Retweet those tweets which are quote-retweeted by your audience. This will give more impressions to your tweet.

Do this only if it is shared by some bigger account to show that you are being noticed by them.

6. Give Shoutouts

Make a list of people you appreciate and give them a shoutout. Let Twitter know that you admire them and their work.

Do it a couple of times and you'll not only grab their attention but also probably turn them into a friend.

Go through the list of Twitter Topics and treat it like keyword research.

10. Avoid external links

Twitter penalizes links to external content.

If you want to share a link, try this:
Tweet a copy to grab the attention of the reader, then share the link in replies underneath that tweet.
