5 Simple but Effective Strategies to increase your online visibility
These will work in 2020 and beyond
Hello there,This is Luv again.
You must be wondering about the new email design and a different sender id, that’s because I have moved to substack and named the newsletter series as marketingshots.
Please add [email protected] to your email contact to prevent emails from landing in spam or promotion tab.
Now back to the topic!
5 Simple but Effective Strategies to increase your online visibility
I’ll not mention the obvious approaches like- create a website, social media profiles, post quality content, join groups, etc. I’m assuming you must have done this by now.
Let me quickly jump to the strategies that actually worked for me.
Use Your Website Email IdInstead of using the free Gmail or Yahoo id, use "[email protected]" as your default email id to communicate or signup on different websites/newsletters. People usually check the website if the email id is of a custom domain name. For ex. in my mailing list, I know someone from careeranna, picirql, IIM Lucknow, eon electric (to name a few) is regularly reading my mails. I hope you got my point.
Use MemesMemes have become a unique way to engage with users. You can create a meme which has the potential to go viral in your industry. You can promote your blog/website in a subtle way using memes. I’ll show you a recent post from my company, ExperienceSaga.com 's Instagram account. (ExperienceSaga is a surprise planning company). See the post and results This page has 5700 followers, as you can see in the screenshot above, the meme post got us these number:Profile visits: 113Reach: 3058Likes: 68Saves: 22 (Sort of a bookmark feature)Those are pretty good numbers.
Use Google Question HubIt will give you the list of questions people are searching on Google. If you have already written a quality post on that question, you can submit the url. You might get lucky and Google may start ranking your page on that query .You can check out Google question hub here: https://questionhub.withgoogle.com/intl/en_in/
Join link exchange groups on TelegramSearch for Telegram link exchange groups on Google. You will find 1000s of groups. Join the relevant ones. Connect with site owners and see if you can exchange links with them. This is a free way to generate back-links to improve your search rankings.
Appreciate People for their workIf you genuinely find someone’s work useful, learn to appreciate them. You can do so by quoting their text/report/infographic/video in your article or post update on social media. Give them credits by tagging them on sites like Twitter, LinkedIn or Quora. There's a very high chance that they will engage your post. For ex, if you liked this post, you can share it with your friends on Twitter and LinkedIn and tag me (although, I’m not a self-claimed popular digital expert but still you’ll get some visibility in my network :))Share
