A founder shared his credit card details online and here's what happened

In a world where marketing stunts need to be bold to stand out, Rahul Krishnan, co-founder of BoldCare, took things to a whole new level.

By sharing his credit card details online, he managed to capture the attention of millions and spark a conversation that went viral almost instantly.

Rahul Krishnan’s post on X (Twitter) wasn’t just any regular tweet.

He openly shared his full credit card number, expiry date and security code, encouraging users to make transactions under ₹1,000.

The twist? He’d send them the OTP in the thread.

Within just 24 hours, the post had racked up over 3.3 million views, with users flocking to platforms like Swiggy, Zomato and Amazon to make small purchases.

Was It Worth It?

According to Traki.in, Krishnan’s card likely reached its ₹3 lakh limit, meaning he funded around 300 microtransactions before the card was blocked due to excessive activity.

While ₹3 lakh might seem like a big cost, the exposure generated by this stunt far outweighed the expenses.

BoldCare’s name was in millions of conversations across social media and that kind of organic reach would typically require a much larger budget through traditional advertising.
