Shot #28: Building a business by sending cold email

Klientboost became 0 to Hero in 12 months sending cold mails.

The founder Johnathan Dane had no money or an investor to start a digital business. He only had time.

Here's the simple approach he used

He sent cold emails but not like the generic ones spamming thousands of email ids.

He sent custom emails and offered specific ideas the recipient could immediately use.

He wrote and sent all of the emails manually.

Here was his formula:

1. Find a company that was spending a lot on ads (using tools like Ahref or SpyFu)

2. Review their ad-to-landing-page-to-signup flow and give them geniune suggestions on how to improve it

3. Present that in a concise email.

In total, throughout 30 days he sent about 100 of these custom cold emails and got 3 deals in the first month. That's about 3% conversion.

They resulted in $7500 per month.

And he repeated this process to build a million dollar business.
