Shot #34: When to make new ads?

Hi,

This shot is from Demand Curve’s newsletter

To increase ad performance, avoid fatiguing your audience with the same ads, it’s important for you to understand the right time to create new ads for your campaigns

Here’s a checklist:

  1. Change in product: When you introduce new packaging, pricing or any new variant. It’s advised to update the ad campaign

  2. Event: For events that are important for your audience. E.g: Christmas, Diwali, Valentine’s Day etc.

  3. New channels: Be on a constant lookout for new social networks releasing ad platforms. E.g: TikTok before it was banned in India

  4. New ad units: Be on a constant lookout for social networks releasing new ad units. Facebook and Instagram release new ad units regularly. Test them. E.g: Shopping ads on Facebook

  5. New media: Video ads tend to outperform image ads. If your company creates new videos, its worth testing ads with them

  6. Saturated Market: People out there already know about the problem, thanks to your competitors. You may want to create ads that show your product differentiation.
