A quick tip to find out all the active Facebook/Instagram ads of your competitors.

You don’t need to purchase any tool for this. Simply follow these steps.

  1. Log in to your Facebook Account in your browser

  2. Visit this link: Facebook Ads Library

  3. Select your country

  4. Enter the name of your competitor’s page you want to look up

It will look something like this

For illustration purpose, let me take the example of my favourite company Zomato, I searched for their page and found this result.

Things you should pay close attention to:

Filters

  • You can filter the ads based on the country that they are being served in

  • Ads that have the highest Impressions  

  • Platforms on which the ads are being run (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, etc.)

Landing Pages

You can click on any of the ads and view the landing page where the users are being taken to.

Text CopyChoice of words used in the text. Are they running any offers?

Images

Type of images used. Are they using videos, too?

CTA (Call-To-Action)

Here Zomato has used 2 CTAs- Use the App and Install Now.

With this I can clearly understand, Zomato is targeting existing users with USE THE APP CTA and new users with INSTALL NOW.
