Even though I’m a small creator with a tiny audience, I have been writing for a couple of years. Here are my top 5 learnings for everyone who aspires to start some day.
Know your words: Identify 3-4 words that you want to be known for. This will help you narrow down your audience. For me, the words are Marketing, Audience Building, Growth Hacks & Startups. I create content keeping these 4 words in mind. So, I’m likely to attract an audience that’s interested in the same.
Pick a format you’re comfortable with: Undoubtedly, video content performs the best but is also very time consuming to create. I find writing to be the easiest. I can create a content piece for newsletter and can re-purpose it to create- Tweets, Twitter Threads, LinkedIn Posts, etc.
Make your content worth bookmarking: Make your content informative or helpful in some way. Your goal is to make your audience's lives better in some way. Make it so good that they save it to their resource file to check back again.
Share, share, share: Don't be shy to share your work even if you don’t have any audience! That’s how all the creators started. I would highly recommend you to have a presence on Twitter and LinkedIn Follow me on TwitterFollow me on LinkedIn
Keep learning: Creating great content is a journey, not a destination. Keep learning, experimenting and iterating on your content to make it even more engaging and valuable for your audience.
All the best!
One Tweet For You
Don't underestimate the power of consistent content creation. Each piece you put out there is an opportunity to attract new subscribers/users/customers.
