When the monsoon season hit Vijayawada (a city in India), something really interesting happened near the railway station.

A billboard played a classical Indian tune whenever it rained. This awesome billboard was made by Taj Mahal Tea and it turned a simple ad into an interactive experience.

They put up a unique billboard named ‘Megh Santoor’ outside Vijayawada Railway Station. This massive billboard, stretching 150 feet wide and covering 2,250 square feet, had an amazing feature - it could play music when it rained.

This awesome project landed the brand a spot in the Guinness World Records for having the largest environmentally interactive billboard.

The billboard used 31 strings to play Raag Megh Malhar, a traditional Indian melody associated with the monsoon.

With each rainfall, the sound of the santoor, a classical Indian instrument, would resonate through the air, playing a melody.
